Description
The Clifton DC1-300 Immersion Cooler provides continuous cooling for compatible stirred or circulating laboratory baths. It supports temperatures down to −20°C, depending on bath capacity, fluid choice and operating conditions. By extracting heat directly from the bath liquid, it extends the capabilities of an existing heated bath to below-ambient applications. The cooler operates continuously, while the bath’s temperature controller maintains the required setpoint.
A stainless steel cooling coil connects to the refrigeration unit through a flexible 900 mm cooling line. Its 65 mm coil diameter allows convenient positioning within the bath. When used with compatible Clifton NE4 baths, the coil sits in the corner to maximise the available working area. Cooling capacity reaches 800 W at +10°C, 580 W at 0°C and 250 W at −20°C. For sub-zero operation, a suitable water and glycol mixture is required. Using a bath lid or polypropylene spheres helps reduce heat transfer from the surroundings and improve cooling efficiency. Designed for use with stirred or circulating baths, the Clifton DC1-300 offers a practical way to add cooling to an existing laboratory setup.
