Description
The Perkin Elmer Clarus 500 GCMS is a gas chromatograph, complete with a mass spectrometer and a headspace sampler. High-sensitivity analysis is achieved through a combination of state-of-the art ion optics and electronics, as well as wide mass range. This makes the Clarus 500 the ideal solution for applications such as pharmaceuticals, food, forensic, or environmental.
Features of the Clarus 500 include accurate and fast scanning – 65 scans/per second in full scan mode, or 100 scans/per second in selected ion monitoring mode. Furthermore, risk of contamination to the quadrupole analyser is reduced by removing the need to open expose the ion optics or vacuum manifold. For safety, the Clarus 500 protects the system by automatically switching off the GC oven should carrier-gas pressure drop. Moreover, Plug and Play technology allows the user to begin work as soon as the machine connects to a computer. Also included is the Turbo Matrix 40 Headspace Sampler, eliminating the need for time-consuming sample preparation.
