Description
The Parr 4553 Pressure Reactor is a moveable floor stand reactor. It has been designed to provide high torque and low stirring speeds for work with polymers and other mixtures. Commonly used by scientists, manufacturers and researchers, the 4553 is invaluable for anyone needing to safely and efficiently control extreme pressure and temperature variables.
Features of the 4553 Pressure Reactor include a cylinder measuring 15.2 in diameter, with a depth of 21.8 cm, and a capacity of 3.75 litres. A maximum pressure of 1900 psi allows the user to explore a broad range of reaction conditions. The PTFE flat gasket enables the reactor to reach a maximum temperature of 350°C, producing increased reaction rates and the ability to use a wider range of solvents. Furthermore, this model of reactor has a fixed head. This allows the head and connections to remain in place while the cylinder and heater are lowered with the assistance of the pneumatic lift mechanism. Additionally, the 4553 comes complete with the 4848B Reactor Controller.
