Description
The NanoString nCounter SPRINT Profiler is a molecular counting machine, designed to look inside biological samples and count how many copies of RNA, DNA or proteins are present. It essentially works like a highly advanced barcode scanner, providing the user with a simple spreadsheet, directly outlining the number of each gene copy. A powerful tool, the nCounter is an ideal addition to research labs working in gene analysis.
As the nCounter can read up to 800 barcodes simultaneously, it gives out huge amounts of data very quickly, allowing complex biological pathways to be mapped out in less than 24 hours. Moreover, the machine can test up to 12 different samples at a time. These two features, plus the fact the nCounter is almost entirely automated, mean up to 24 samples can be processed in a day. As the instrument is so precise in its measuring, even highly degraded samples such as FFPE tissue can be accurately quantified and counted.
