Description
The Cole Parmer SHP-200-MP Hotplate Stirrer is a laboratory tool used to heat and mix liquids at the same time. Designed with three independently controlled plates, the SHP is ideal for applications where multiple samples require simultaneous heating and stirring. Powerful magnets produce a strong magnetic coupling, allowing even thick liquids or gels to be consistently stirred.
Specifications for the SHP-200-MP include stirring speeds of up to 1500 rpm, a maximum plate temperature of 325°C, and mixing volumes of up to 15 litres. For safety, a warning light will flash when the plates reach above 50°C. This light will continue to operate even when the hotplate if switched off. Plates are constructed from a robust aluminium/silcon alloy, providing even plate temperatures. Each plate measures 16 x 16 cm.
