The CEM Discover 2.0 Microwave Reactor heats reaction mixtures using microwave radiation, speeding up chemical reactions by selectively targeting and heating polar molecules within the mixture. Commonly used in fields such as nanotechnology, organic synthesis, and materials science, the Discover 2.0 reduces reaction times from hours to minutes, gives better product yield, and more control over reactions.
Features of the Discover 2.0 include the largest high pressure/temperature range of any reactor available today, with the scope to use either 10, 35, or 100 ml vials. The iWave internal, infrared, temperature sensor, ensures accurate temperature readings without the need for temperature probes. Moreover, the rapid cooling feature enables safe handling of vessels in less than a minute. Intelligent pressure management with the patented Activent technology increases reaction scope and yield, while eliminating vessel failures. And a 10 inch touchscreen interface allow users to easily monitor and record reaction progress.
Additionally, the Discover 2.0 has been designed with a removable spill cup and drain tray for ease of cleaning.
