Description
The Agilent 8890 GC/MS/MS System comes complete with a 8890 GC, a 7000D GC/TQ, a 7693A Autosampler and an IDP-10 Dry Scroll Pump. A highly sensitive analytical instrument, the 8890 GC/MS/MS is used to analyse or quantify components within a sample. Furthermore, the triple-quadrupole mass spec offers superior sensitivity, quantitative accuracy and drastically reduced background noise. GC/MS/MS systems like this are an invaluable tool in industries such as forensics, pharmaceuticals, food safety and environmental monitoring.
Features of the 8890 GC include operating temperatures of 4°C – 450°C (down to -80 with LN2 Cryogenic Cooling), four detectors, and ten valves. Built-in intelligence monitors the system, alerts the user of performance issues, and provides guidance to resolve problems. A seven-inch touchscreen provides a visual report of the system, and allows the user to configure settings, perform maintenance routines and check the status of the GC.
In addition to the GC, this system comes with a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer (GC/TQ). Operating with a mass range of m/z 10 to 1,050, the 7000D features a heated gold-plated quartz quadrupole, a highly sensitive extraction ion source, and a triple-axis HED-EM detector. These components all work together to reduce noise and detect substances at femtogram levels.
Completing the setup, a 7693A Autosampler is incorporated. Providing fast and precise injections, the 7693A has a 150-sample vial tray and doubles sample throughput with dual simultaneous injections.
Also included is the IDP-10 Dry Scroll Pump, a clean, oil free vacuum pump, with quiet operation and low vibration.
