We also regularly buy fume cupboards, furnaces, ULT freezers and AA spectrophotometers. For HPLC, we most want Agilent 1200, 1260 and 1290 systems, and we’re interested in individual modules too, such as autosamplers, pumps and detectors. If yours isn’t listed, ask us anyway.

  2. We value it. We’ll come back to you with a fair price and no obligation. If it’s easier, we can look at the equipment with you on a video call over WhatsApp or Teams.
  3. Take cash or credit. Accept our cash price, or take credit towards new equipment or a part exchange. We often offer a slightly higher price for credit.
  4. We collect it. From anywhere in the UK, from Thurso to Cornwall, usually within weeks. We can handle decontamination and decommissioning on request.

For most labs, a specialist dealer that buys outright. Selling privately can look like it pays more, but there are listing fees and enquiries to deal with, you have to arrange the shipping, and you’re responsible if something goes wrong after the sale. We value your equipment, buy it, collect it and take on the aftersales.

It depends on the make, model, age and condition, whether the software and accessories come with it, and how much demand there is for that kind of equipment. Service history adds value too. Send us the details and a few photos and we’ll give you a valuation with no obligation.

Yes, usually within weeks. We’ve collected from the University of the Highlands and Islands in Thurso and the Camborne School of Mines in Cornwall, and from Aberystwyth University in the west to the Wash in the east.

Yes. Anything that has held biological, chemical or radioactive material needs decontaminating before it can be collected, with a declaration saying what was done. If that’s more than your team can take on, we can handle decontamination and decommissioning for you.

Equipment that still works is tested, serviced by our own engineers and sold on to other labs. Usable parts are kept for repairs, and anything that can’t be reused goes for licensed recycling.

No. Everything is collected as-is, and we won’t ask for our money back if something goes wrong. Once it’s ours, warranties and returns are our responsibility, not yours.
