Description
The Thermo Scientific Sorvall WX80+ Ultra Series Centrifuge is a floor model centrifuge with spin speeds up to 80,000 rpm. Ideal for labs short on space, the WX+80 is just 88 cm high with a low deck height of 86.3 cm for easy rotor access. A robust titanium rotor helps to improve ergonomics, reduces corrosion to moisture and chemicals, and is fatigue resistant.
Specifications of the WX80+ include a max capacity of 6 x 250 ml, and a temperature range of between 0°C to 40°C. A self-locking rotor system eliminates the need to bolt down the rotor and provides confidence that the rotor is secure. With a noise level of just 51 dBA, the WX80+ is quiet enough to place in directly in the lab. An intuitive, LCD colour touchscreen displays all set parameters and is easy to navigate. Additionally, the WX80+ has a 47 cm long LED status bar, which can be seen from across the lab, to display different colours depending on the status of the centrifuge.
Included with the WX80+ is a Thermo Surespin 630 rotor with 6 x 17 ml buckets.
