The Thermo Scientific HERAcell VIOS 160i incubator provides a stable atmosphere during incubation of biological samples, and allows precise control over humidity, temperature and co2 levels. Perfect for lab work involving biological research, cell behaviour and drug development, to name but a few.
This model has a copper chamber which has antimicrobial properties, to help maintain a more sterile environment, which in turn reduces risk of contamination. The infrared sensor (IR) works by detecting the absorption of infrared light and is therfore not affected by humidity or temperature fluctuations. This type of sensor provides more accurate co2 readings and is less affected by door openings.
The HERAcell VIOS 160i contains adjustable, perferated shelving, an in-chamber fan, and the HEPA filters continuously filter the chamber air volume every 60 seconds. The humidity source comes from an integrated water resevoir. Each of the incubators in this stack have three copper shelves, and two full glass doors. Both incubators have a 165 litre capacity, and can operate at temperatures between Ambient +3° to 55°C. The measurements for this incubator stack are 86 x 64 x 205 cm approx.
