Description
The Leica HistoCore PEARL Tissue Processor is an automated benchtop instrument engineered to prepare biological tissue samples for microscopic analysis. The system fixates, dehydrates, clears and impregnates the tissue samples, processing 200 cassettes simultaneously in a single run. As opposed to manual tissue prep, this automated system makes workflow much more efficient allowing members of the lab to spend valuable time on analytical work rather than sample preparation.
A newly designed retort supports dependable processing across each stage of the cycle. Meanwhile, three paraffin baths provide controlled wax infiltration at temperatures between 50°C and 70°C. Users can process standard tissue samples and biopsies using programmable workflows, including overnight processing cycles. The clear, xylene-resistant touchscreen provides straightforward access to programmes and operating information. In addition, an enclosed design and integrated fume-control features help limit laboratory exposure to processing reagents. As a result, the HistoCore PEARL supports a cleaner and safer working environment while maintaining an efficient workflow. Removable paraffin baths also support efficient cleaning and maintenance.
