Description
The Perkin Elmer AAnalyst 700 Spectrometer is a high-performance system designed for accurate and elemental and trace metal analysis. A fully integrated design, the AAnalyst 700 combines both flame and graphite furnace atomic absorption in a single instrument. This combination makes it suitable for applications including environmental testing, food analysis, pharmaceutical research, materials testing and quality control.
Features of the AAnalyst 700 include a high-performance optical system with segmented solid-state detector, and an eight-position lamp compartment. It supports hollow cathode lamps and electrodeless discharge lamps for flexible multi-element analysis. Built-in deuterium background correction helps to compensate for non-specific absorption and improve measurement accuracy, particularly with complex sample matrices.
For trace-level measurements, the integrated Heated Graphite Atomizer (HGA) provides controlled electrothermal atomisation, while the flame system features an automatic motorised burner assembly. The flame can be automatically aligned and optimised within the optical path, reducing manual adjustment between analyses. Integrated gas controls and safety interlocks further support reliable day-to-day operation.
