The Waters Acquity UPLC System delivers state-of-the-art performance in liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS). This UPLC system combines precision-engineered UPLC modules with the powerful Xevo TQD mass spectrometer, and offers seamless operation for both quantitative and targeted analytical workflows. Th Xevo TQD mass spectrometer is designed from the ground up to reduce complexity, ensuring maximum productivity with minimum effort. It features T-Wave technology, which enhances ion transmission and resolution. This technology increases sensitivity and accelerates analysis, allowing users to generate high-quality data faster. The mass spectrometer also supports interchangeable ion sources, enabling flexible adaptation to a wide variety of compounds and ionisation techniques.
The binary solvent manager delivers accurate, high-pressure gradient control to ensure consistent and reproducible separations. Meanwhile, the sample manager automates injections with excellent precision. The sample organiser expands capacity for large batches, supporting long periods of unattended analysis. This is ideal for labs with a large number of valuable samples which need scheduling and running with the utmost precision and care. For method development and efficient workflow switching, the column manager allows seamless transition between multiple columns, complete with precise, reliable temperature control.
The included Edwards XDS 46i dry scroll vacuum pump provides a clean, oil-free solution. It offers a maximum pumping speed of 40 m³/hour and achieves an ultimate vacuum of 0.05 mbar, ensuring reliable and efficient performance. Power continuity is guaranteed by the PowerVar Security Plus power supply, which supports a wide voltage range (100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz). This also features advanced communication interfaces including RS-232, USB, and DB-9 contacts. It recharges to 90% in just 8 hours.
