ICP analysis is primarily used in the determination of trace metals in the environment or medically, in the body. ICP-OES is a brilliant tool for analysing groundwater, waste water or any other sample with a high concentration of dissolved solids due to its impressive tolerance for higher TDS.
ICP-MS, on the other hand, has a much lower tolerance for TDS but a far superior detection limit that can extend as low as parts per trillion, making it necessary for analysis of contaminants with very low regulatory limits.
At Richmond Scientific, we stock both second hand ICP-OES and ICP-MS systems at a vastly lower cost than buying new to enable you to improve the capabilities of your laboratory. Click here to browse our stock of Perkin-Elmer, Agilent, and Thermo Scientific ICP systems.
