Magnetic Stirrers

Magnetic stirrers are about as robust as laboratory equipment gets, which makes them an obvious thing to buy preowned: a motor, a magnet and a top plate, with very little to go wrong. They are used everywhere for dissolving reagents, mixing solutions and keeping a sample moving through a reaction, and hotplate stirrer models add controlled heating to the same job.
