Description
The Sony Cell Sorter SH800S is a high performance, bench top flow cytometer. It has been specifically designed to analyse, physically separate and collect cells, based on complexity, size, or fluorescence. Fully automated and user friendly, the SH800S is a great addition to labs working in biotech, stem cell research, and microbiology.
A defining feature of the SH800S is its high level of automation. Laser alignment, droplet formation and sorting calibration are automatically handled through push-button workflows. This greatly reduces set-up time, improves reproducibility, and allows more users to operate the machine with minimal training. As the SH800S uses disposable microfluidic chips, cross-contamination risks are significantly reduced. Chips are available in different sizes (70 um, 100 um, 130 um), depending on the type of cells being sorted. Furthermore, the SH800S can sort cells into tubes or multi-well plates, including 96- and 384-well formats, and is also capable of reliable single-cell sorting.
