The Perkin Elmer GC 2400 System comprises of a gas chromatograph, a headspace sampler and a hydrogen generator. Together, the GC 2400, the HS 2400M and the PGXplus H2 160 form a powerful analytical instrument, designed to separate and analyse volatile compounds in either liquid or solid samples. Typical applications for the GC 2400 System include environmental testing, pharmaceuticals, and food and beverage analysis.
A key feature of the GC 2400 System is its automation and ability to be remotely monitored. This reduces user error – allowing less-experienced users to operate the system – while increasing throughput and freeing up staff to focus on other tasks. When combined with the HS 2400M headspace sampler, the GC system can automatically prepare samples by heating and extracting volatile compounds. The sampler then only injects the headspace vapour, avoiding non-volatile matrix interference. Completing this system is the PGXplus H2 160 hydrogen generator to provide on-demand hydrogen, reducing operational costs and improving laboratory safety.
