Description

The Peak Scientific Hydrogen Trace Generator is designed to provide an on-demand source of hydrogen for FID/FPD detectors, collision gas for ICP-MS, or GC carrier gas. This works by using a Proton Exchange Membrane to create hydrogen gas from deionised water. A trace dryer block then dries the gas, and a pressure swing absorption dryer reduces moisture content down to trace levels. Moreover, its compact, modular design takes up little room in the lab and eradicates the need for costly gas cylinders.

Specifications for the Hydrogen Trace Generator include a maximum flow rate of 250 cc/min, and a max pressure of 100 psi/ 6.9 bar. For safety, an internal leak detection feature shuts down the unit if a leak should occur. To keep maintenance cost for the Hydrogen Trace Generator low, only the de-ionizer cartridges need replacing. Furthermore, additional units can be stacked and combined for higher flow requirements.
