Description
The Memmert SF450 plus Hot Air Steriliser is a twin display, vacuum, dry-heat steriliser. Used for sterilising medical and laboratory equipment, the SF450 plus is similar to an autoclave, but uses hot air instead of steam, preventing corrosion of metal instruments. This method of sterilisation has advantages such as no drying time after the cycle has finished and also maintains sharpness of cutting instruments.
Using forced air circulation, the SF450 plus efficiently circulates hot air around the chamber up to temperatures of 250°C. To ensure adequate decontamination, the steriliser timer does not begin until the chamber has reached the set temperature. A digital timer allows the user to set a time from one minute up to ninety-nine days. For safety, the SF450 plus features both acoustic and visual alarms, which will come into effect when the timer is up and if there are any errors with the instrument. The User-ID key provides an extra safety feature, ensuring only approved users can access the controls. Furthermore, double doors make access to the chamber easy, and inside you will find two stainless steel grid shelves, which are both height adjustable.
