Description
The Agilent 700 Series 720 ICP-OES is a reliable and powerful analytic instrument, designed for elemental analysis. Featuring the innovative Cooled Cone Interface (CCI), the 720 ICP-OES is suitable for a wide range of applications, including environmental science and food safety. This CCI technology eliminates the need for dual-view optics and shear gases, therefore increasing throughput. Another feature of the 720 ICP-OES is its exceptionally fast warm up time, significantly reducing waiting times, and further increasing throughput.
Markedly, the 720 ICP-OES uses an axial viewing configuration, resulting in a much higher sensitivity when compared to radial systems. An echelle polychromator separates and focuses analyte emission lines generated in the plasma onto a detector for measurement, thus creating true simultaneous ICP-OES. To provide excellent stability, the 720 ICP-OES uses temperature-controlled optics and a VistaChip II CCD detector. Furthermore, the VistaChip II requires only 70,000 photosensitive pixels to provide wavelength coverage from 167 – 785 nm.
