Description
The A&D BM-22 Micro Balance is a high-precision analytical balance for ultra-fine measurements. It has a dual capacity of 5.1g / 22g and a readability of 0.001mg / 0.01mg. Also featuring a built-in, patented fanless ioniser, which neutralises static charges without creating air currents, thus it is ideal for weighing extremely fine substances without interference. The ioniser’s discharge electrode pins are highly durable, and are protected for safe cleaning and replacement.
To ensure consistent accuracy, the BM-22 features a motor-driven internal calibration weight. Users can perform one-touch calibration with a single key press, and the balance also supports automatic self-calibration triggered by ambient temperature changes to prevent sensitivity drift. For routine checks, a calibration test report function allows error testing without adjusting sensitivity, and the internal weight value can be corrected using an external reference weight if needed.
The balance supports an automatic repeatability test, which measures its internal weight ten times to calculate standard deviation. Additionally, features include automatic response characteristics adjustment, which optimises weighing speed and stability based on environmental conditions. Manual configuration is also available. In terms of performance, the BM-22 has a repeatability (standard deviation) of 0.004 mg / 0.01 mg, a minimum typical weight of 5.0mg, and a linearity of ±0.01mg / ±0.02mg. Moreover, stabilisation time is typically 10 seconds / 8 seconds when set to FAST mode and the unit’s external dimensions are 46.6cm x 25.9cm × 32.6cm (L x W x H) – weight approximately 10kg.
