The Astec Microflow Monair BFC5-002 Ductless Fume Hood provides a contained workspace for handling suitable chemicals and laboratory processes. Its recirculating design removes the need for external ducting, making installation more flexible than a conventional ducted fume cupboard. With approximate dimensions of 63 × 61 × 79 cm, the compact design fits comfortably onto most laboratory benches.

A centrifugal fan draws contaminated air away from the operator and passes it through an activated carbon filter. The filtered air then returns safely to the laboratory. Clear acrylic front, side and rear panels provide excellent visibility throughout the working area. Meanwhile, the epoxy-coated mild-steel frame offers a durable, easy-to-clean finish. Integrated 18 W lighting further improves visibility during sample preparation and routine laboratory work. A low-airflow alarm warns users if the cabinet cannot maintain the required level of air movement. Straightforward mains and fan controls also support simple day-to-day operation.
