Description

The Stuart Heat-Stir UC152 is a stylish and economical general purpose hotplate stirrer. It is designed with safety as well as performance in mind. The compact shape takes up less bench space, making storage easier too as a result.

The hotplate has an LED temperature indicator scale. It can also be used in conjunction with a digital contact thermometer for accurate sample temperature control. A “Hot” warning light will start flashing whenever the plate temperature is above 50°C. This occurs even when the hotplate is turned off and unplugged from the mains.

Powerful magnets and motor give stirring speeds up to 2000rpm. They are capable of mixing large volumes, up to 15 litres, based on water in a 20L glass bottom boiling flask, for example.

This Stuart Heat-Stir UC152 has a glass ceramic top which has excellent chemical resistance. The surface is easy to clean. Thermal properties allow very high plate temperatures while ensuring the edges stay cooler, reducing the chance of accidental burns. The white surface ensures good visibility of colour changes.
