Description
The Eagon 2 Fusion Instrument is prepares glass disks for XRF analysis. Fusion is a sample preparation method that consists of dissolving at high temperatures a fully oxidised sample in a suitable solvent, in a platinum, zirconium or graphite crucible. The melted mixture is agitated and poured into a mold to create a glass disk for XRF analysis (or into a beaker to make a solution for AA and ICP).
The Eagon 2 Fusion Instrument operates automatically and features two fusion positions, enabling both synchronous and asynchronous operation independently. This design ensures optimal analytical performance.
The instrument uses high-quality ceramic holders for the crucibles and molds, reducing the risk of contamination. You can remove these holders for easy cleaning. A Type R thermocouple monitors the temperature, which the instrument supports in the range from 300°C to 1200°C. The system allows for many programmable functions, including ramp-dwell steps for temperature and duration settings..
Additional features include preogrammable non-wetting agent injection, agitation, and cooling functions. The pause and inspection function, combined with cold-to-cold operation and interlocked doors, ensures safety and precision. With one-touch operation and a library of predefined fusion methods, the Eagon 2 is user-friendly. With microprocessor control, the system alerts you when the cycle is finished.
The Eagon 2 is perfectly designed to work alongside the PANalytcial Epsilon 3 XRF Spectrometer.
