Description
Carbolite VMF Volatile Matter Furnace 1000°C
This Carbolite Gero VMF is an Ashing Burn-off, Coal and Coke Testing Furnace. It has a maximum temperature of 1000°C and reaches this in tests. The heating elements are vacuum formed slabs.
A simple switch turns the heater on along with a red light for the safety of the user. The temperature can be adjusted by a scroll wheel with 1000°C being the maximum at which it can be set.
The VMF model meets the test method of ISO 562; this test relates to testing the quality and contamination level in coal. By placing the sample in a crucible with a close fitting lid the volatile matter is given off before oxidisation.
