The Amersham AKTA Purifier 10 w/ AKTA Prime & FRAC 950 is a complete fast protein liquid chromatography (FPLC) system. Designed for separating and purifying proteins, the AKTA Purifier 10 is the perfect addition to a busy biological or pharmaceutical lab.
Included in the AKTA Purifier 10 tower is a pH/C-900 for monitoring measurements of pH and conductivity. A UV-900 for UV absorption monitoring. A P-900 pump for controlled flow of liquid, and an additional P-960 pump. There is also a Box 900 for eluent storage. For further analysis, a Frac-950 fraction detector is also included. Capable of collecting up to 392 fractions, the Frac-950 comes with three collecting racks and has two different methods for reducing spillage during tube change.
Moreover, this system comes with a standalone AKTA Prime unit. This is a compact, all-in-one chromatography instrument, with built in pump, mixer and fraction detector. Using the AKTA Prime alongside the AKTA Purifier 10 has multiple advantages, such as pre-purification, method optimisation, and parallel operation.
